2021.11.29 13:51 That_dyke_ Right to refuse service to disrespectful customers
So for context I'm a trans employee at Walmart in Utah specifically and the amount of customers that use the wrong terms is very annoying and I want to correct them but I'm afraid if they still refuse and start being disrespectful towards me I will still have to help them even at the cost of being degraded and disrespected. Someone told me at some point that utah discrimination laws protect me from discipline if I choose to deny service to an outright disrespectful customer, is this true?

2021.11.29 13:51 TANo_Database just because you can have kids shouldn't mean you should...
over the weekend I went to my husband's relatives house. I have not seen them in a long time due to COVID but his relatives boyfriend was there along with his daughter. his daughter had twins there (both almost 2 years old). she literally placed soda in their sippy cups then made a comment about how much of a bad mother she is. there was apple juice and fruit punch there along with milk and water. I just could not believe my eyes. she was then explaining how she had two children at home a 8 year old and a 6 year old. the man she had children with left her when she was 7 months old then he knocked someone else up 2 months after that and how her ex is with the girl who had the baby afterwards.
I feel so bad for children like this. yes, children are gifts but it just breaks my heart. I know I should not be saying who should have kids and who should not.. but I am just getting over the fact that I am going to have one due to issues out of my control. this girl made a comment about how she got pregnant on the first try and it just struck a nerve with me because of my miscarriages and other issues.
I just want to rant and I am expecting people will have negative comments but I still cannot get over the fact that she literally placed soda in the SIPPY cup. again, these babies will be turning 2 next month and were walking around with that pacifiers on their shirts.
my child has never been given soda and I will make sure of it. he is 5.

I have some small projects that still require some expertise for example laying down concrete in a 20sqft area. I am having trouble finding a contractor that is willing to do that kind of project because it is too small. Where do you find trades people that are willing to do small jobs like this ?

2021.11.29 13:51 ImNotARobot_exe Cheaper solutions to planning cliches
So in a previous post a commenter informed me of the way Amsterdam collects it's trash, and it seems way more economic to have communal collecting holes than driving a fleet of T H I C C trucks around 1-1.5 times per week.
It got me thinking, what are some creative/unconventional/generally clever solutions for infrastructural elements?
On that point, are there any amenities that should be standard in towns/cities. I'd say Finland's right to broadband is pretty interesting.

2021.11.29 13:51 zhannasbro Has anybody been having any success with the reworked cataphracts?
Ive played a few games with them and seen them plenty of times. Although theyre probably the free ones and not fully leveled, they seem to be completely useless even at 260 leadership. Their charge is as bad as coutiliers, they seem to struggle to even kill sword infantry. I saw them head charge into paladins and lose evert single one of them.their cover commander charge is an infinitely worse version of armigers. I heard the leadership reduction is not even permanant.

"The Jedi are pacifists that cannot use any form of violence whatsoever."
Has anyone heard or seen a variation of this being said by defenders of the ST? I've seen several take Yoda's quotes from The Empire Strikes Back completely out of context and use it as "definite proof" that the Jedi are pacifists.

Can someone tell me if the Royal Engineers Section has text saying it can be used in a standard Generic Reinforced Platoon?
I'm going to a tournament next weekend with rules mostly preventing theater selectors. The TO said that if the book says the unit can be used in a GRP then I can use it, but unfortunately I only have access to Easy Army right now.

2021.11.29 13:51 taewoo How to Get People to Fund Your IVF w/o Them "Losing" Money
[Admin] Remove if not allowed. I'm not pitching anything. I can't stand IVF industry. I'm here to share an idea that you might never have been exposed to.
It's a TERRIBLE fact that people have to get into such financial agony just to have kids. And for people who have never been through the experience, it's really freakin' painful. Especially if you do it w/your own money, and your IVF fails. It's like getting hit by a truck.
Anyway, while I'm no doctor and I can't help people have babies, there is a different way to fund"= your IVF process without getting insanely expensive insurance, going to work at starbucks, etc.
I'm sure you guys are aware of crowdfunding like gofundme. Problem with this type of funding platforms is that, from the perspective of the person putting money into the pool... well, if your IVF fails, well.. there goes that money. Once you spend it on your project, well, it's gone.
There is a way to do this crypto. Yes, "bitcoin" (it's actually not bitcoin, but people just understand it better. Technically, it's ERC20 ethereum coin). If you already have preconceived notion about it being scam or whatever, I understand. I'm not going to try and change anyone's nmind. You can stop reading here.
Otherwise, read on.
Because of the way crypto works, you can actually create a "pool of money" (where your friends & family would pool money for you).. and you can "borrow" from it, and it can "grow back". Here's an example.
Your IVF costs $10k. Your investors pool $20k... your take out $10k "loan". The pool "grows" back to $20k in about 2 to 3 years.
What? Is this a scam? No. This can't happen in traditional finance because humans are involved. Humans make errors and are slow. "Smart contracts" are computer code. This "smart contract" code based pool would act as bank - basically lend the IVF candidate money, and try to "recupe" the loan by lending out to people in the crypto world.
If this sounds confusing, it's basically the same as this:
- crowdfund => grow interest => use interest (profit) to pay for stuff
Except... the order is somewhat "reversed"
- crowdfund => "borrow" from it => use interest (profit) to pay for stuff => grow interest
I know. This sounds strange. This defies all human logic. Remember Back to the Future 3 (if you're old enough) where they stick in a tiny hand-sized pizza into an oven, and 3 seconds later, a giant pizza comes out? it's like that.
The reason why this well work is because your investor is GUARANTEED to get back the money they put into your IVF project. I'm currently doing something for non-IVF related, and i just happened to this. HOw much easier would it be on your sponsors, if they can help you AND get their money back (within 2-3 years)?
Anyway, i'm telling you guys this b/c there IS hope. I'm working on it as we speak. I've seen too many people suffer from paying for medical bills. Jesus.. how can medical bills be #1 cause of bankruptcy in such modern age.
Feel free to ask. More than happy to answer any questions you might have.
